Hello everyone and a happy new year to all of you!

The past couple of years in film have been messy due to the unforeseen circumstance that is the never-ending COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, an entire year’s worth of films was delayed or relegated to streaming due to the severity of such a crisis. In 2021, we started to see a slow crawl at the US box office that built up to one hell of a bang with “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. Now, in 2022, I am hoping that the momentum from last month continues. I am also hoping that the following ten films deliver as well.

Before we get started, let’s all give ourselves a pat on the back for getting through 2021: while it was not 2020, it had a rough beginning and concluded on a sour note. Hopefully, 2022 will continue to bring health, happiness, and good fortune to all of you reading this.

Also, a couple of Honorable Mentions:

  • “Moonfall”- It looks incredibly stupid but also looks incredibly fun (February 4th)
  • “Ambulance”- Michael Bay seems to be going in a more mature direction with this film that stars both Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya-Abdul Mateen II (April 8th)
  • “Black Adam” — Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate kinda sealed this…
