The 10 Worst Films of 2021

Ten films that came out this year that I never want to see again

2021 saw a rebound to cinemas after the Covid-19 pandemic wreaked havoc all over the globe. With many of our favorite beloved franchises making a return to both the big and small screens (in some cases both simultaneously), there were plenty of welcome returns. Of course, there were a few not so welcome returns as well, hence the 10 worst films this year.

I’ll be the first to say that the ratings assigned (be it on my articles or on my Letterboxd) do not mean shit here. I usually take a group of films I enjoyed or didn’t and rank them out. Opinions can shift from time to time, it’s totally normal. Also, all opinions are my own and this list is going to get very spicy. you've been warned.

Before we get started, here are a couple of Dishonorable Mentions:

I: “Infinite” — A generic Mark Wahlberg vehicle that should’ve been far more fun than what it actually was.

II: “Encanto”- Another formulaic garbage heap from Disney that uses the same Toxic Positivity message that has been preached since “Frozen”

III: “House of Gucci” & “The Last Duel”— Boring as shit and the scripts weren’t even that fucking good.
